Our Philosophy
"To do well, it is necessary to aim at giving the elementary age child an idea of all fields of study and the science, not in precise detail, but an impression. The idea is to sow the seeds of knowledge at this age, when a sort of sensitive period for the imagination to exist. The examination of details in later years stems from this early study of the whole."
- Maria Montessori
We believe that .....
- Children develop best in a caring environment where they are allowed to express themselves and when learning experiences interest them and are part of their world.
- The Montessori environment is child centred. Lessons are given on individual basis or small groups, which enable the teacher to discover more about the child and his/her inner development.
- All children want to learn. With the freedom to investigate the world around them, they will become active learners.
- Each child is unique and each child has his or her own rate of learning and learns best through concrete experiences.
- Children have the freedom ( within limit ) to choose their activities in a Montessori environment. With this, children become enthusiastic learners and enable them to develop self discipline.
